Mother and Child Safety Programme – Referral Transport

   Started in the district in October 2011 .

2. Information about the scheme –

   To reduce the maternal mortality rate and infant mortality rate in the state, pregnant women and sick newborns will be provided with Free referral service from residence to hospital ( Pick Up ) , hospital to hospital , and hospital to residence ( Drop Back ). is provided .

   Pregnant women and sick newborn children (o to 1 Year)

4. What are the benefits of the scheme

   Pregnant women and sick newborns are provided with free referral services from their residence to the hospital ( Pick Up) , hospital to hospital , and hospital to residence ( Drop Back) .

5. How to avail the benefit of the scheme ( Application process )

   Call the toll free number 102 to get the nearest government organization’s ambulance service. It is made available .
